Green Civils Ltd is a civil engineering contractor specialising in green energy infrastructure across the UK, delivering EV charging, battery storage, solar, and reinstatement works with a safety-first, practical approach. Led by Andy Rouse, a civil engineer and construction manager with over 15 years’ experience in landscape architecture, hard landscaping, and infrastructure delivery, we provide reliable, sustainable solutions from groundworks and ducting through to drainage, plinths, concrete bases, and full reinstatement — including on heritage and environmentally sensitive sites where precision and compliance matter most. Our approach is simple: do it once, do it right, and do it safely.

Backed by Industry-Recognised Accreditations

Green Civils Ltd is accredited under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), independently assessed by LRQA.

Accredited construction scopes:

  • Civils – excavation, duct installation and backfill to tile / tape
  • Cable Laying – LV, 11kV, 20kV and 33kV

NERS is the utility industry’s benchmark for contractors working on the electricity distribution network. Accreditation confirms that our management systems, method statements, risk assessments, competency framework and audit regime have been independently assessed against the standards set by the DNOs.

For ICPs, connections contractors and principal contractors, that means:

  • Independently verified competence on distribution network schemes
  • Fully documented RAMS and method statements for civils and cable laying activities
  • A defined competency and authorisation framework covering every operative on site
  • Technical and quality auditing built into delivery, not bolted on afterwards
  • A supply chain partner who supports your own NERS obligations without additional assurance work

We operate as a specialist civils and cable laying subcontractor to accredited ICPs. We are not an ICP ourselves and do not compete with our clients for connections work.
